Spontaneous.
It’s just doing something off the top of your head. Just doing something for the sake of doing it.
It’s not impulsivity. It’s spontaneity.
Sometimes all I need to do is to do something. Without planning everything out and thinking it all through. Without needing several good reasons that make perfect sense.
It’s like this post; I’m literally sitting in my living room, friends sitting around, and I’m taking turns listening to the conversation around me and writing this. It just occurred to me to do it, so I did it.
There are times when you should just do something. Enjoy spontaneity. Be wise, and don’t be impulsive, but let yourself relax and just do things.
I get sick of writing polished articles and full length novels. There are periods in my life and in everyone’s lives where we just need to do the basic things and write (and work) with simplicity.
Got nothing to do? Drive to the Kansas Governor Trails and take a walk just to try something new. Bored? Dig out your telescope and set it up. Curious? Take a trip to the library! It doesn’t need to make sense. It doesn’t need to line up with your schedule. JUST DO IT. (Thanks, NIKE).
Be wise. Be thoughtful. But be spontaneous.
Life is more enjoyable that way.
